Inspect the sources and reported checks

The technical companion’s complete bibliography and reproduction record, preserving the distinction between reported research checks and website conversion checks.

Publication record, reproducibility and references

Jeremy Rodgers, From Physical Comparison to Relational Appearance: A Defeasible Current-Act Account, Version 1.4, 16 October 2026. The main paper and its substantial technical supplement form one connected publication under DOI 10.5281/zenodo.23408737.

The account’s proofs, empirical records and philosophical commitments have different jobs. The record below preserves the source publication’s computational provenance and the works cited throughout the technical companion. References to earlier versions describe their reported checks, not experiments rerun for this website edition.

Reproduction and verification limits

The publication identifies a separate archive, Relational_Awareness_Reproducibility_v1_4.zip, containing scripts, permitted supporting records, comparison outputs and instructions. Eleven checks can run directly: the eight inherited finite checks, the content-signature checker, the reduced neural-table refit/score check, and an added information/error checker for Section 3.5. Only that last, changed checker was newly executed for version 1.2, including from a fresh package extraction. It tests the large error-budget counterexample, clipped Fano range, actual-average-error readers and erasure endpoints. The other ten checks retain their successful version 1.1 execution records; they were not rerun in version 1.2. Versions 1.3 and 1.4 retain all eleven records without another scientific execution. Version 1.4 changes notation and three brief passages; its checks concern affected notation, references, rendered pages and compilation warnings.

Three inherited empirical analyses require separately obtained Crayen or Ebbinghaus data. Optional raw-prefix verification of the neural feature requires the separately acquired recording. Those analyses, the earlier contrast-only forecast and full neural extraction were not rerun in this revision. Their recorded outputs retain the earlier verification scope.

The archive README specifies commands, external acquisition routes, filenames, schemas, available hashes and licence conditions. Synthetic or derived comparison records are not additional independent data. The minimal neural table is derived from the CC0 source deposit and retains that attribution. Third-party raw datasets and papers are not included. The computational package as a whole is therefore not self-contained.

The publication also identifies Relational_Awareness_LaTeX_Sources_v1_4.zip as its editable sources for both documents. They use relative inputs and one shared BibTeX database and can be built in Overleaf or by a standard local LaTeX/BibTeX workflow. The computational archive is a separate deliverable; empirical input acquisition remains an external dependency. This website treatment was prepared from the supplied publication PDFs; the separate editable and computational archives were not among those supplied inputs.

General theorems rest on their proofs and hypotheses; finite grids corroborate selected cases. The recorded outputs support comparison with reconstructed calculations, while bootstrap intervals remain conditional on the stated sampling and selection procedure. Mode placement and native occurrence projection retain the philosophical and empirical warrant defended in the main paper. Executing a calculation does not supply an additional observation of appearance or independent human review.
